Un saluto dalla coppia Scoditti - Mitolo ... direttamente dal Gate 6 del San Francisco International Airport. Volo della British Airways diretto a Londra, e poi in Italia a goderci la magica atmosfera natalizia con amici e parenti! Ci si vede presto gente !

A gorgeous fall afternoon in San Francisco. A walk down the coastal trail near legion of honor. A fantastic way to burn off all that Thanksgiving meal.

New Soccer club in SF (bisogna trovare il nome alla squadra)

Recentemente si e' creato un nuovo gruppo calcistico a San Francisco. A guidare la squadra e' il Capitano Gabriele B., difensore centrale (per ovvi motivi coniugali). A centrocampo la coppia Schiffini-Scoditti. In attacco (per altri ovvi motivi) la coppia Martella e Mitolo (capocannoniere, re del fuorigioco). In porta la nostra pantera Vinay "Baghera" Mugal, sempre composto. In panchina per ora Andrea Ballarini, non presente recentemente. Allenatore ufficiale e foto reporter delle azioni, Anna Sargian. Ora bisogna trovare un nome alla squadra che rifletta la propria natura.

CineForum

Ok allora per rompere il ghiaccio riguardo il CineForum, faccio io la prima proposta.

Per brindare all' amicizia tra noi 5 "bischeri" e ad un gruppo che piu' passa il tempo piu' diventa affiatato, io proporrei Amici Miei di Mario Monicelli (1975). Un capolavoro del cinema italiano che se a qualcuno manca ancora, deve assolutamente vedere.

Risate a non finire tra zingarate e supercazzole, secondo me e' il migliore inizio che potremmo fare..

E fu cosi che i ragazzi di Capitan Bodda decisero in una domenica pomeriggio, dopo un bel piatto di Boscaiola, tra una puntata di Boris ed una sfida alla play, di lanciare il nuovo appuntamento settimanale di CineForum.

Si pensa di incontrarsi il lunedi sera e vedersi un film tutti assieme ( visto anche che ci si vede poco ultimamente, solo il weekend, che poi tra l'altro inizia spesso di martedi : )
Scegliete il vostro regista preferito o il genere che vi interessa di piu', a votazione verranno scelti i primi titoli....

Tropical weather in SF

San Francisco - November 14th

Although today was a mid November Sunday, an amazingly tropical weather let us enjoy the sun and the comfortable green grass of Dolores Park. I really love this place. Here you can actually appreciate the San Francisco hipster style.
Tens of guys (most of them dressing as the 80's vogue) chatting, smoking (no cigarettes), drinking, playing any kind of sport (we were the only ones playing soccer...)...with a nice atmosphere of peace and brotherhood.

A few years ago I was lucky enough to see Italy win the 2006 Fifa World Cup. Unfortunately, at that time I was not in Italy. The emotions were strong but it was certainly different to see such victory from afar. On the other hand, the other evening I experienced the Giants victory in SF. Although the team didn't actually win the last game at AT&T Park, the emotions this time were lived differently. Screams of joy, cries of laughter and simple happiness suddenly filled the city and I was fortunate to see them right there next to me. I am truly blessed to have lived and experienced SF's first national win in my city, the place where I was born, my true and only: San Francisco.

Hi guys,

first of all I would like to thanks Gabri for the hospitality in his "house" :)

I think this blog could be a great channel to tell about our stories and maybe to built something all together. YES WE CAN!

After this small introduction I would jump on the main theme of this post...

Just one day ago, after 67 years and for the first time in San Francisco, the Giants won the World Series! The city by the bay had a blast last night and of course we enjoyed the celebration in North Beach. After the long Halloween's weekend the black and orange colours didn't stop to paint the streets of the city. It was amazing to see how many people in the Financial District went to work wearing the Giants jearsey today! Welcome to San Francisco folks! :)

I would close this post with a sentence I found few days ago before the final winning:

Listen up, America. You may think San Francisco is just a bunch of pot-smoking, bike-riding, latte-drinking radicals, but you'd better get your Walmart-shopping, Humvee-driving butts used to it. Your time is over, and the era of the Left Coast Liberal Elite has come! (7x7)

Miracoli d'Italia!

Ieri sera ci siamo ritrovati al concerto dei Negrita. Un gruppo italiano molto interessante che avevo gia' ascoltato dal vivo qualche anno fa a Roma, all'ippodromo delle capannelle. Era il 2005. M.....a!!! Quella volta suonarono davanti a migliaia di persone, e infatti li vedevo piccoli piccoli a diversi metri di distanza.
Ieri sera, invece, il loro concerto si e' tenuto in un locale abbastanza piccolo, chiamato Slim's. Ah, piccolo particolare, non era Roma, ma San Francisco. Nel locale non c'era molta gente, un centinaio di persone o poco piu', il 90% italiane.
A prescindere dalla performance artistica di tutto rispetto, e dal fatto di essere a 2mt dalla band (c'era chi brindava "corona a corona" con i musicisti o dialogava col cantante tra un pezzo e l'atro), la cosa che piu' mi ha emozionato e' stata essere in mezzo a tanti ragazzi italiani, giovani (tra i 25 e i 35 anni), pieni di vita ed entusiasmo. Fa un certo effetto guardare la gente negli occhi e immaginare la storia che ognuno di loro ha alle spalle, un sogno da realizzare, un progetto da portare a termine. Storie di successi e a volte di fallimenti, di salite e discese, di momenti belli e di altri in cui maledici il giorno in cui hai fatto determinate scelte. Ma questo, si sa, e' quel gioco chiamato vita...

Se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino...

Succede che arriva la prima pioggia di stagione e tu da aprile hai l'ombrello in ufficio... Ovviamente arrivi a lavoro bagnato fradicio.
Succede anche che per qualche motivo ti svegli poco dopo le 6.00 am e che quando stai per riaddormentarti, verso le 6.45 am, iniziano a suonare al campanello. Ti affacci e vedi un pirla scalzo e in tshirt che suonava a tutti i campanelli del palazzo alla ricerca di chi non si sa bene. Gli spieghi che sicuramente l'apt.3 non era quello che stava cercando e ritorni a letto. Ma dopo un po' ricomincia a suonare a tutti. Ti rialzi, ti riaffacci e lo mandi gentilmente a cag... .
Insomma se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino, non voglio immaginare cosa succedera' fino a stasera!

Doveva essere una tranquilla serata tra amici... ma non avevano fatto i conti con il VINO e l'OTTIMA COMPAGNIA !!!
Magna de qua, bevi de la ... si ritrovarono a fine serata piu' sbronzi del solito! E che fai, te ne vai a dormire cosi'? Naaaa... tutti al Matrix!

Chill out Sunday

San Francisco: a cold and rainy Sunday of mid October has quickly replaced what locals call as the "Indian summer". Indeed after an uncanny warm period, today the weather reminded us that Northern California weather sucks! (Is this a good reason to spend next weekend in LA? Stay tuned to know that). Anyway today was the perfect day to chill out after a demanding week at work and before to start it again. Friends, PlayStation and a movie on a -I don't know how many inches- huge television turned out to be the perfect ingredients to kick off the fall!
